Company History
Matthew Styler started out in the industry in his hometown of York in 1991. Shortly after establishing himself in sales at the forefront of this business, he ventured across the Pennines to further his steel education. It was from here, in 2003, that Matthew became a director and shareholder of Rosteel, helping this business from their Bradford base to not only get off the ground but to have a firm footing in the market.
Following this, in 2005 Matthew was headhunted by Eterniti Steels Ltd. This proved to be a major stepping stone in the development of his career, as his sales director role turned the company into a top tier supplier of sheets and plates, operating with a 60 million turnover.
In 2012 Matthew’s efforts were rewarded, as he was made Managing Director of the business, where he successfully guided the business through a sale of all shares and assets in 2013-2014. Following this, he stayed on in the Newco as director for the next few years, ensuring a smooth transition as the company’s place in the market was not only sustained but left in a position with a lot of room for potential for growth.
Group1 Steel Ltd was formed in 2018.
